Police are investigating after a wind turbine was damaged.

Cumbria Police said bolts were taken off the turbine, located off The Mount in Whitehaven, causing it to break and fall.

It happened some time between 10 and 27 February, with details only just released.

The damage caused has been estimated at up to £60,000.

The force is asking anyone with information to make contact.
