A man in his 20s has died after his white Ford Transit van collided with a tractor unit and its trailer.

Norfolk Police said the crash happened on the A47 at King's Lynn at about 07:55 GMT on Friday.

The van driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a critical condition and has since died.

Diversions were put in place during the road closure and it was reopened more than nine hours later.

The force is appealing for witnesses and has urged anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
