A two-year-old girl has been injured after she was struck in the head by a glass bottle.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the Lucky Strike Amusement Arcade on Grand Parade, Skegness, at 16:20 GMT on Saturday after reports of a woman throwing a bottle inside the venue.

The child was taken to hospital for treatment but her injuries were not thought to be serious, officers said.

The force confirmed a 41-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker.

Investigating officers said the woman remained in custody and they were trying to establish the circumstances involved.

Lincolnshire Police have asked for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
