The numbers from Sunday show just how close Arsenal’s win over Chelsea was.

Arsenal only generated an xG of 1.09 with five of their 12 shots on target, but scored twice.

However, Chelsea were not far behind with the Blues registering an xG of 1.07 with nine attempted efforts and three on target. They also hit the woodwork once.

Liam Rosenior's side also had 58.9% of the possession but they are now winless in their past three games.

But his counterpart, Mikel Arteta, would be happy to take the points however they come as long as they keep coming at this stage.

With Arsenal capitalising on 10-man Chelsea and Manchester City clinching all three points against Leeds United, things are exactly as they were at the top of the table.

So we think it's fair to say the Gunners' fate is in their own hands going into the run-in.

And the biggest result of all from the weekend?

Arsenal scored from two trademark corners to beat 10-man Chelsea at Emirates Stadium and regain their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

Manchester City had heaped pressure on the Gunners by cutting their lead to two points with victory at Leeds on Saturday.

Arsenal opened the scoring from a corner in the 21st minute as Gabriel Magalhaes headed Bukayo Saka's corner back across goal to his defensive partner William Saliba, whose header struck Mamadou Sarr on the arm before going into the net.

Chelsea grew into the match after going behind and threatened with their own set-pieces - scoring from a corner themselves just before half-time as Piero Hincapie flicked Reece James' delivery into his own net.

Chelsea started the second half better than their hosts before Jurrien Timber headed in Declan Rice's corner, securing three crucial points in the title race.

Another Monday morning, eh?
