  1. That's all for today!published at 16:00 GMT 2 March

That brings us to the close of this live page.

We started by looking back at Arsenal’s big win over Chelsea - a match once again shaped by more set‑piece mastery from Mikel Arteta’s side and will have huge implications on the Premier League title race - before we turned our attention to the midweek Premier League fixtures.

We have also had plenty of team news from the 11 managers we have listened into today:

Thanks for following along - we’ll be back again tomorrow. Until then, take care.

Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira, on trying to fight on two fronts in the Premier League and the Europa League: “This is an ambitious club with an ambitious president, we want to move forward in the Europa League but we want with everything to be in the Premier League next season.

"Before I accepted the job, I looked through the schedule, I looked and I knew that it will be tough but a very good challenge.

"For me, to be in the Premier League facing these kinds of problems in the Europa League is an honour, because it means I'm here in the best league in the world, fighting the best managers in the world."

  3. 'We need to protect keepers during set-pieces'published at 15:54 GMT 2 March

Bournemouth v Brentford (Tues, 19:30 GMT)

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola on players obstructing goalkeepers during set-pieces: "I think, we have to find a way to protect our keepers, they are not any other player. They are the only ones who can touch the ball with their hands.

"We are are allowing almost everything in the small box and it is becoming tenuous because all the teams are seeing this and trying to maximise this. I think the referee will have to decide what they want to do with the games. I think they [VAR] are going to have to start calling things, if you see it call it but don't waste another 40 seconds."

  4. Evanilson 'couldn't train yesterday'published at 15:51 GMT 2 March

AFC Bournemouth v Brentford (Tues, 19:30 GMT)

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola on Evanilson's injury: "He was very sour and he couldn't train yesterday. He defiantly wants to try so let's see how he is today. It is a matter of managing the pain and I hope he will be available tomorrow.

"I think he gives us a lot of good things. I think he helps us to play higher on the pitch and this is good for the rest of the team and for him. He is a very good forward."

Iraola also adds Marcos Senesi "should be fine" to face Brentford.

  5. 'I think football is better without VAR'published at 15:48 GMT 2 March

Everton v Burnley (Thurs, 19:30 GMT)

    Burnley

Burnley manager Scott Parker on VAR: "I think football is better without VAR and that is just my view. It removed the raw emotions of the game and the celebrations.

"I think the facts are the fact, how ever long it takes, you just have to get the facts right with VAR.

"It suggest to me that we are not sure and we are just passing it on to another guy who makes the decision.

"It isn't something that I like but that is the way we are going. Everyone wants perfection and everything in the finest of details and in that you lose something.

"Sometimes there is something quite nice about just not being perfect. VAR takes away the emotion of the game and it's just complicated, you are checking everything. It's a robot but how do we really know, how do we know where the frame has been taken from."

  6. Parker provides Burnley team newspublished at 15:44 GMT 2 March

Everton v Burnley (Tues, 19:30 GMT)

    Burnley

Burnley manager Scott Parker speaking to the media on team news: "We are all good fitness wise and we will check more on Marcus Edwards [who missed the defeat by Brentford on Saturday] heading into this game but everyone has come out of this weekend find. Mentally we are in a good place.

"Mike Tresor is back in training with us. Tresor looks more ahead than Axel Tuanzebe. We need more time to get the boys up to speed."

On whether his side can stay in the Premier League: "There has always been belief and there always is.

"This is a young group and at times they're are learning at certain moments and you are seeing that shine through.

"Whether that is enough to bring success this year and that isn't me being negative. You are seeing things being engraved in this team that is paramount to being successful."

  7. 'We need a bigger return'published at 15:40 GMT 2 March

Moyes tells reporters Everton still "need more goals" from strikers Thierno Barry and Beto, who both found the net in Saturday's win at Newcastle.

While upbeat on their recent input, he added: "I don't think the numbers are the numbers I want. I want centre-forwards to have far more goals. To spread that number out is good. We need a bigger return from them."

The Everton boss is playing down expectation before facing Burnley but eventually concedes back-to-back wins "would be hugely important for us".

  8. Moyes 'looking beyond 40 points'published at 15:36 GMT 2 March

Everton v Burnley (Tue, 19:30 GMT)

Everton boss David Moyes on reaching 40 points this Premier League season: "Quite a lot of satisfaction. We have got there with 10 games to go. I have always been looking beyond 40 points but there is always something in the back of your mind - the recent history has not been much better than reaching that total. I've talked about us doing more than that and hopefully we can do."

On Dwight McNeil's return to the side in the aftermath of him nearly joining Crystal Palace, Moyes said: "I didn't at any moment doubt Dwight, how he would react and play. He trained really well last week so he got himself an opportunity. We have been trying to find the right balance. A lot of them are young boys. Dwight gave us that bit of experience."

    Everton

Everton boss David Moyes on team news: "We have a couple of things I wouldn't want to reveal at the moment. Charly Alcaraz is out, Seamus Coleman picked up something - not serious - on Friday. He won't be available but hopefully not too long."

On his side's poor home form: "If we have to take all the points away from home and don't do so well as home, if you look through the history books and look at the teams who have moved to new stadiums, it's never been that easy, certainly in the first year."

  10. Leeds say boos during Ramadan pause 'disappointing'published at 15:29 GMT 2 March

Leeds United v Sunderland (Tue, 19:30 GMT)

    Shamoon Hafez
    Football news reporter

Leeds have said loud boos during a brief pause in play to allow players observing Ramadan to break their fast in Saturday's match at Elland Road were "disappointing".

In the 13th minute of the 17:30 GMT kick-off in the Premier League, players from Leeds and visitors Manchester City came to the side of the pitch to take on fluids and energy supplements.

But there was a cacophony of jeers and whistles throughout the break which lasted about a minute.

In a generic email reply sent by Leeds' supporter liaison officer, seen by BBC Sport, it said: "The club is aware of the incident and it was disappointing that some supporters chose to boo during the pause in play to allow players observing Ramadan to break their fast.

"The club is currently looking into why this happened and what can be done moving forwards to prevent incidents of a similar nature happening again in the future."

  11. 'We should give referees more power'published at 15:24 GMT 2 March

Leeds United v Sunderland (Tue, 19:30 GMT)

    Leeds United

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke on referees using common sense on hand ball rules: "Should be as easy as possible. We need clarity on the rules. Sometimes there are grey areas. It's difficult for referees.

"We should give referees more power. I think they have that licence. It's a tough job. But they have this power."

  12. 'Rodon OK after scans' - Farke on team newspublished at 15:21 GMT 2 March

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke provides update on injuries: "Joe Rodon had some problems with his hamstring. Had scans and seems to be OK. Only question mark is James Justin. He needed stitches after the game but hope he will be available for tomorrow. Only Noah Okafor is absent."

On squad rotation against Sunderland: "Always consider it given the turnaround. But I'm not too concerned about this turnaround. For us we have three proper nights between the game, they don't have travel.

"We have more than 72 hours. If you can't recover then you shouldn't play professional football. Wouldn't say there is not one player who isn't available who is tired."

  13. 'Not acceptable' if boos were for Ramadan pausepublished at 15:16 GMT 2 March

Leeds manager Daniel Farke on crowd booing when players broke their fast during Ramadan: "If it was disrespectful because of the break, then yes we have to say we have to learn from it. I'm not sure that everyone was aware - we had the topic of Pep Guardiola bringing players in to gave a talk - I think supporters thought it was this.

"I don't think booing was for this [Ramadan]. If it was from some people about this then that's not acceptable. No better place than a dressing room of different religions and nationalities. If people did it out of disrespect its not acceptable."

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke on receiving a red card against Manchester City: "As a player my problem was I was one of slowest players. It's the first time I am told I was running too quick.

"All jokes aside, one of my principles is to respect each other. Sometimes emotions in the game and disagreements about situation.

"The reason perhaps [referee] Peter [Bankes] wanted to be the first one [to show me a red] in my career - could have given me a yellow. But jokes aside, I am a very self critical person and hold my hands up.

"I was obviously not happy with the six minutes added time. I wanted to run over to be the first and have a short quiet moment with the ref to ask why he didn't add a few seconds onto added time if he gives a yellow card.

"I jogged over. Not one bad word. No swear words or bad language. Just wanted to ask him why he didn't add any on. He didn't speak to me and just pulled out the red card.

"To pull out a red card and embarrass me in front of the whole world, I wasn't happy. Even the assistants were shocked the red card was shown. This is not how we should work with each other. I have so much respect for the referees.

"I don't think Peter did it on purpose, just misjudged it. I will never jog again."

Farke was sent off at the end of their loss against City on Saturday and the Leeds manager is set to appeal the decision before his side faces Sunderland on Tuesday.

Lastly, Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior confirmed that Cole Palmer hasn't suffered another groin injury: "It wasn't that. He took a knock but he is absolutely fine.

"He is looking really good and I think you can see the way we've managed him over the past six weeks. He played 83 minutes [against Arsenal], that was tactical. He is absolutely fine to start the game on Wednesday."

In terms of more team news, Rosenior added: "Marc [Cucurella] is getting closer and looking really good. Hopefully we can get him back involved soon, if not for Wednesday then Saturday for sure.

"Estevao is back on the pitch and running which is great. Jamie Gittens is doing really well and it has been great to see Romeo Lavia get his first minutes in a long time as well. Reece [James] is also absolutely fine."

Rosenior is in denial, he needs to face it. His team is mainly made up of average players, with one or two exceptions. Sanchez needs replacing ASAP, he is a complete embarrassment if we are to move forward!

So many “what ifs” with Liam Rosenior. The only thing that matters is points on the board. Chelsea with work to do if they want top 4..
