Aaron Collins's penalty deep into stoppage time snatched MK Dons a point in a draw at League Two promotion rivals Cambridge United.
Substitute Collins rolled the ball home from the spot in the sixth minute of time added on after Sean Raggett was adjudged to have fouled Aaron Nemane.
Cambridge had looked set to claim a massive victory in the challenge for a top-three finish, having taken the lead in the 75th minute through a substitute of their own.
Elliot Nevitt and Ben Knight both saw efforts blocked before the ball was bundled in by striker Shayne Lavery.
In the first half, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy ran clear but fired wide for the visitors.
The U's went close after 51 minutes when Kell Watts crossed for James Gibbons, whose header was kept out by a strong Craig MacGillivray save, before they did go ahead through Lavery.
MK looked to hit back, with Jake Eastwood denying both Joe Tomlinson and Curtis Nelson from point-blank range in the final five minutes, before they did deny the hosts victory at the death.
